NPF organized special prayer meeting at Kohima on 23rd August, 2017
Hundreds of party leaders of the Naga People’s Front party joined hands in a ‘Special Prayer Meeting’ organized by the Central Office at Central Headquarters, Kohima on Wednesday.
The congregation sought God’s blessing at this time of turmoil and crisis to deliver His judgment according to His Will so that the party can work truly according to the God’s wisdom for the Naga people in true spirit.
Delivering his message from the Bible, Joshua 1: 5-9, Dr Chotisüh Sazo, MLA, urged party leaders to be strong and courageous like Joshua and stand with the truth stating that God would never leave, nor forsake the people who are strong and remain truthful.
Dr. Sazo maintained that like Moses who gave the law to his people, likewise the people as well as the party workers were bound by the Constitution of India and the party Constitution as well. Therefore, the MLA said that there is no need to be in a confused state as we have the Constitutions which will deliver their judgments soon.
He also maintained that if we are in the right track, there is nothing to be worried about but to remain strong with the truth judgment is delivered.
He also called upon the party leaders to uphold the word of God stating that “nothing is stronger in life then to remain faithful and truthful with God.”
As God commanded Joshua to be courageous and obey the law, Dr. Sazo also urged upon the party leaders to be like Joshua for the Lord will always be with them wherever they go.
DAN Chairman, Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA, in his message stated that the Bible teaches us more to be honest and obedient, therefore, called upon the party leaders to be always honest and obedient in whatever they do.
“As long as we are honest and courageous, there is nothing to be worried.” he said.
Quoting from The Judges chapter 6-7, the MLA said that “any battle is won only through prayer, belief, faith and trust in the Lord and no battle can be won by merry making or with numbers of soldiers.”
MLA Nienu also said that as long as the party leaders are “strong, courageous and united with the truth as our weapon, nothing can break or defeat us.”
Also speaking on the occasion, the party spokesperson, Achumbemo Kikon asked party workers to have patience as the NPF party has not done wrong against any party or individual but only moving with the constitution and that “sooner or later, the Court, which is the guardian of the Constitution, would favour us.”
He also mentioned that, the TR/Rio group has nothing to produce before the Court but only to adjourn and delay tactic for the hearing.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by vice president, Tsumongo Ovung while invocation prayer was said by working president, Huskha Yepthomi.
